Presenting Mrs Tiggy Winkle, number 3 square on baby blanket.
On with number 4
My cross stitching blog. I have been cross stitching on and off since 1969. In 1969 I did a stamped cross stitch d'oyley under the supervision of my Grandma. Her home was number 78. I spent many pleasant hours at that house as I often went there for holidays as a child. Now I prefer counted cross stitch . Some other crafts keep me busy too

Baby Blanket square
A very studious mouse by Beatrix Potter. This is second square for baby blanket and now I have two more to stitch.
They are enjoyable to stitch.

Baby Blanket
Now for some completed cross stitch.
This is Peter Rabbit by Beatrix Potter on the first square of a baby blanket for my grandchild due in January 2012.
There are 3 more squares to do - 1 in each corner. Just have to decide which character to do next. Maybe it will be Jemima Puddleduck.

Stitched with Love Teaparty/Picnic Exchange
This what I sent to my secret partner.
Firstly there are some gifts, some with an Aussie theme such as a wooden koala button, then my 2 stitched items a note book cover featuring cherries and a cupcake with a magnolia flowerbud.
You can see other pictures from the exchange at

Easter Rabbit
This is a JBW Design pattern.
This is the first time I have done this type of pattern with symbols within the picture. I decided to use the pink variegated thread on the green fabric for a Spring look.
This has been sent to Pauline in a Spring/Easter swap. As she has received this and all my goodies, I can now post the picture.
You can go to this blog to see all the exchanges

Later I will post a picture of what I received

Quietly Stitching
Sshhhsh....quietly stitching for an Easter swap. So no photos of the project until Easter, by which time my partner in Holland will have received it.
But I have posted a picture of my cat Hatzi instead. Even she is sworn to secrecy until Easter. Nice to be stitching during Lent.

Need to get onto finishing
This is my first stitching for 2011. "Fancy a Jane Day " by Sampler Girl.
I used a hand dyed thread I bought in New Zealand at the Arts precinct in Christchurch. I dread to think of the damage done to the very old buildings there, following the earthquake. As you can see, I have chosen some fabric to make this into a small pillow and now I need to get busy and complete it.
